Our Varsity boys Basketball team played in the division 6 Basketball NB provincial tournament on the weekend. The boys represented our school very well, playing hard and also showing a lot of class & sportsmanship along the way. The boys were able to beat Host Devon Middle School JV 55-42. Then sadly the boys lost there other 3 games; 51-46 to Bliss Carmen JV, 50-43 to Carrefour de L'Acadie of Moncton, and 50-37 to Nashwaaksis Middle JV. When all the dust settled at the end of the tournament, the boys took home 3rd place and bronze medals will be sent to us for the boys!

Our Varsity girls were in Grand Falls this weekend for Basketball NB’s division 5 provincial tournament. The girls won there first game 41-36 over host John Caldwell, then defeated Maplehurst Tier 2 from Moncton 56-37. In the girls 3rd game they defeated Minto 41-24. Then in the final game of the tournament, with the Provincial title on the line they defeated Nackawic 38-31. Our HMS lady wildcats are BNB’s division 5 Provincial Basketball Champions!! Great job girls!
Today, our JV boys travel to RPS to finally play the Tier 2 JV basketball championship game, good luck boys!
